Pre- and Recycling Program

Packaging, Landscaping, & Operational Cost Savings

We will be seeking as many pre- and post-recycling methods as possible, both in the office and the production facility. We seek out new techniques as opportunities arise. We do this voluntarily as we have always done.

We repurpose metal, railings, & structural materials. Welding repairs are being done for machinery including cars, boats, trailers, pontoons, machinery sheds and electrical items.

We will use our own boat, a recycled and repaired pontoon, for reconnaissance of and harvesting blue-green algae as needed as a back up supply measure when needed.

We consolidate deliveries for fewer trips & higher volume per trip for cost and fuel savings. We buy fuel in bulk for a more efficient operation.

We use both sides of all paper that we use and then shred and recycle it. This collected material would be an excellent feed stock for Papercrete construction.

1 gallon, 1 quart, 1 pint, & 5-gallon jerry cans are cleaned and repurposed for Mineral Max AG Prestorative as well as 250-gallon totes.

We are willing to recycle and take back any packaging that can be reused. We have received both plastic & glass containers of varying sizes.

We obtain free packing materials from stores that we use for shipping.

We still need to purchase packaging tape for shipping!

We have secured cardboard from stores and production packaging for shipping. Clean excess cardboard is shredded for garden areas including mulching & worm bins.

Coffee grounds are collected for worm bins & general gardening toppings.

Landscaping does include reduced maintenance, choosing appropriate perennial plants for reduced water use. We provide free cutting to many members of the community due to much growth around the property. We have maintained a “defensible space” near & around the building for maximum safety.

All of this takes time. It is, however, incorporated into our process. There are still many other improvements we can make. None of this is policy. It is what we happen to be doing for many years throughout many projects.  We are human after all & we do what we can.
